How long does it take for an implant to fuse (osseointegrate) to bone?

Once an implant is placed, it typically takes 3 months for it to fully integrate into the jawbone. During this time, patients have the option of using an interim partial to replace the tooth temporarily until the final crown is placed. Interim partials are typically used for front teeth, when aesthetics is a concern.
